Expert advice:
In Sète, you can enjoy many local specialties: macaroni, stuffed mussels and squid, cuttlefish rouille, and the famous tielle sétoise... Don't miss this little pie filled with octopus, a true institution of Sète gastronomy.

Artistic stroll
Visit the Open Sky Museum, thanks to its downloadable map and no less than 37 works in the streets of Sète!  Among them, a monumental fresco on rue Paul Valéry. It is a classic work, straight out of a museum, which springs up in XXL version with a bomb. Impressive. Behind you, the portrait of a sailor reminds you that you are in a port.
Head for the upper quarter for a festival of styles and colors that clash. At the bend of the Saint-Louis church, no wedding that day. But love is in the air thanks to the poetic work of Dr. Ponce. The Musée à Ciel Ouvert will not stop revealing its works throughout your stay.

Good to know:
Guided tours of the MaCO are offered by the Sète Tourist Office from April to October.
Adults 6€, children 3€ (6-12 years old). Reservation on the website or at the tourist office.

Sète, a city on the water
From the fishing port, walk along the canals to reach the station district and its Haussmannian facades. No less than twelve bridges to cross, overhanging the sparkling water.
You have arrived in the fishermen's district so dear to Agnès Varda's heart, the Pointe-courte with its small colorful houses lined up, surrounded by sheds on stilts and not far from the imperturbable fishermen.
The canals of Sète are at your back, the lagoon of Thau opens its arms to you. The sun is setting. A magical moment...

Contemporary art at your fingertips
The reservoir is a former garage that has been rehabilitated and in which contemporary art has been installed on 2,500 m2, facing the canals. It hosts works of art, exhibitions as well as the private collection of outsider art and contemporary art of an art lover and recognized patron, founder of the place.
This original concept offers more than two thousand works for sale. All are mixed in a relaxed and industrial atmosphere.  Come and discover it urgently, whether you are an art collector, amateur, novice, or curious, because art is for everyone.

Worth the detour:
The reservoir, a "concept-store museum" with free admission, offers spaces for meeting and sharing as well as an art bookstore.
